Responsibilities

The HR Staffing Specialist will be part of the Human Resources team with the responsibility of driving the staffing process. This role will be staffing all aspects of Federal personnel staffing. They will be expected to qualify candidates, set up meet and greets and work with the hiring manager to fill position vacancies, with the most qualified candidate. The Staffing Specialist will work with the SME (subject matter expert) to determine what the requirements are for each position and then put together a job description for job announcements. This individual will be working with HR personnel, business units, and the general public so they must have the ability to communicate effectively.  

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 2+ years’ experience Federal personnel staffing
  • Active/Interim DoD Secret Clearance
  • High School Diploma or GED  

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years’ experience Federal personnel staffing
  • 3+ years’ experience in developing staffing strategies
  • Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
  • Ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally
  • Ability to work as a team member yet also individually

 

Additional Requirements:

  • U.S. Citizenship Required
  • Active/Interim or Renewable DoD Secret Clearance
