Responsibilities

Work with the command’s continuous process improvement (CPI) office to support various continuous performance improvement activities including facilitation and execution of: Value Stream Analyses (VSAs), Rapid Improvement Events (RIEs), Projects, and Just Do-Its (JDIs). Plan and execute Lean Six Sigma events covering both engineering and technical work efforts in support of Equipment Engineering (EE), Systems Integration and Interoperability (SI&I), and Modernization and Installation (MI&I) products and services. Support various initiatives including Smart Idea Program, Shingo and Value Engineering (VE). Provide Lean database data for entry, Lean metric reporting to senior leadership, financial benefit documentation for projects, command level brief outs for all completed projects, status and data for quarterly reviews, and inputs for Executive Planning Sessions. Perform Smart Ideas research, documentation, and tracking; assist Command personnel with development of SMART Ideas. Maintain Lean content on Command Portal and shared drives.   

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and 5 years’ related work experience
  • Lean 6 Sigma Black Belt Certification
  • Full-Time /15% Travel

  • Active/Interim or Renewable DoD Secret Clearance
