    Career Opportunity

    We currently seeking candidates for our Director of Operations position, located at our corporate office in Chesapeake, Virginia. This position is responsible for the overall leadership and operations for our offices and locations within the continental United States and foreign stations. This position works both strategically and tactically to develop and improve processes and performance which enhances bottom line results.  This position provides a unique, hands-on opportunity for candidates with strong operations experience, placing them in a role to exercise the requisite skills as a successful leader within the organization.

    Responsibilities

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Oversees the day-to-day operations of multiple facility stations.  
    • Possesses the necessary knowledge and adheres to contractual requirements for our Government clients.
    • Serves as a member of the senior leadership team to develop strategies for growth and client excellence, while developing innovative ideas, solutions and opportunities to achieve business objectives.
    • Establishes and maintains an effective relationship with staff, external contacts and internal partners.
    • Communicates with staff at all levels to ensure knowledge of progress, gaps in performance, and link of individual contributions to overall business objectives.
    • Overall responsibility for department financial management, P&L results and management results to achieve operating income plan.
    • Ensures operational legal compliance and conformity to established regulations.
    • Develops, executes, and leads comprehensive project plans with internal and external partners.
    • Functions as liaison between corporate groups and facility personnel; ensure a clean, properly organized, safe, and healthy environment for all personnel, including all facilities and equipment in a good state of repair.
    • Leads and builds a high performance culture through supervisory activities including talent selection and development, performance coaching and discipline, assigning and directing work, reward and recognition of employees, etc.
    • Creates and manages an operations department dashboard or evaluation process with metrics that support and drive business results.
    • Works with various internal functions, programs, and geographies to monitor trends and patterns in facility and security performance to identify problem areas and take immediate corrective action.
    • Identifies opportunities for continuous improvement and efficiencies through various initiatives by implementing and maintaining ISO 9001 certification and utilizing Lean six Sigma events.
    • Serves as the Transition and Integration Manager for all newly awarded contracts.
    • Develops and manages a Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) compliant materials purchasing process using our financial operating system.
    • Competitively identifies, prices, and leads negotiates for facility leases and supporting facility services (i.e. janitorial, maintenance/repairs, etc.).
    • Assesses, develops and recommends physical security standards that accord with DoD requirements and countermeasure guidance which can be applied to various facilities.
    • Implements, maintains, and updates T-Solutions’ website for content and communication.
    • Leads and manages the T-Solutions’ Corporate Outreach program.
    • Develops and maintains the T-Solutions’ online store for company branded merchandise and marketing materials.
    • Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and effective manner in accordance with established company policies to achieve the overall objectives of this position.

     

    This position includes a moderate level of Domestic travel and possible International travel.

     

    Education and Experience

    A high school diploma or GED equivalent and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business or a minimum of fifteen years of related operations management or leadership experience. At least two years of experience in government contracting or demonstration working as an end user in government contracting is required.

    Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Current Green Belt certified or ability to obtain certification is required.
    • Must possess a valid Driver’s License.
    • Must have reliable transportation to and from various work locations.
    • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret or Top Secret security clearance.
    • Possesses in-depth knowledge of diverse business functions and principles.
    • Possesses a working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operations metrics.

     

    Certificates, Licenses, Registration

    • Current Green Belt and PMP certified or ability to obtain certification is required.
