    Career Opportunity

    We currently seeking candidates for a Senior Task Order Deputy Program Manager for our Washington, DC Navy Yard station working with our Strategic and Theater Sealift PMS385 program. This position provides oversight and management of Contractor personnel.

    Responsibilities

    • Provides executive, analytical, management and administrative support.
    • Support the Strategic & Theater Sealift PMS385 program office development and maintenance of plans. 
    • Supports the development and maintenance of program briefings.
    • Assists in development of congressional reports/responses to congressional inquiries.
    • Provides programmatic support for contract goals, objectives and acquisition strategies.
    • Provides acquisition support, management planning and execution support for ship and ship system contract awards.
    • Provides support to the Strategic & Theater Sealift sponsor, OPNAV N85, and NAVSEA 05C.
    • Supports the sponsor/requirements offices with systems engineering and related efforts as required for the development and management of requirements and documents.
    • Provides support to clarify and improve understanding with respect to evolving mission package requirements, analysis, measures of effectiveness, capability requirements and milestone delivery dates, and overall progress toward delivering following ships and mission packages. 
    • Works to provide continuity and insight on all aspects of developing current and future capabilities.
    • Performs a range of cost estimating functions working closely with the technical authority for mission systems.
    • Provides advice, recommendations and drafts of strategic, programmatic, and business plans.
    • Supports the coordination of the Strategic & Theater Sealift risk program.

    Travel

    This position includes a moderate level of travel.

    Qualifications

    Education and Experience

    Must have a High School Diploma or GED equivalent, a Bachelor’s Degree and a Master’s Degree with a minimum of 15 years of related professional experience.

     

    Qualifications

    • Must possess a valid Driver’s License
    • Must have reliable transportation to and from various work locations
    • Demonstrates a thorough understanding of DoD requirements, policies and procedures related to shipbuilding acquisition.
    • Must be a US Citizen
    • Must possess and be able to retain an active Secret clearance and pass additional background screening if required.

    PMP is highly desirable.
