    Career Opportunity

    We are currently seeking candidates for a Director of Information Technology Services at our Chesapeake, Virginia Headquarters. The Director of IT Services will take a leadership position in helping to set priorities, develop action plans, and implement projects and programs to meet short and long-range technology development and execution goals to keep pace with corporate requirements and industry standards.  They are also responsible for the day to day network operations and hardware deployment.  The Director of IT Services is a hands-on professional who thrives in a team environment.  The successful candidate will have knowledge and experience in government contracting and must be an excellent communicator.


    • Serves as key subject matter expert supporting staff to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical problems on a day-to-day basis.
    • Manages and implements best practices for network security.
    • Manages network device inventory.
    • Meets deadlines and thrives in a fast paced, professional environment.
    • Develops reliable metrics for hardware, software and storage while ensuring strategic capacity planning.
    • Oversees the operation of server systems.
    • Manages Enterprise-class backup and restoration system production data
    • Identifies security vulnerabilities and make recommendations to eliminate them with strategic solutions that increase data security.
    • Coordinates and support implementation of software and hardware upgrades.
    • Proactively and continuously evaluates overall operations of technology functions to existing computer systems.
    • Advises and supports senior management on strategic systems conversions and integrations in support in accordance to corporate strategic plan.
    • Understands, respects, evangelizes and enforces confidentiality, privacy, cybersecurity and best practices with interests of the company in mind.
    • Consults with company leadership and department managers to exchange information, present new approaches, and to discuss equipment/system changes.
    • Works closely with business line leaders to identify and assess emerging technology and oversee the development, design, implementation and training of new applications and changes to existing computer systems and software packages.
    • Supports branch/remote office locations.



    This position requires a moderate level of travel.


    • Demonstrates in depth knowledge of Microsoft server operating systems, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and server hardware is essential.
    • Demonstrates in depth knowledge of backup applications.
    • Possesses experience working with VMware or AHV, and the ability to install, configure and troubleshoot server operating systems, software, and related hardware is required.
    • Possesses ability to quickly identify problems and implement solutions with minimal downtime.
    • Must be able to lead a team or work independently as required.
    • Broad understanding of Windows operating systems and SQL, Office 365, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, DMZ, Clustering and file servers.
    • Demonstrates a broad understanding of WAN/LAN communications as well as, Configuration, Migration and Upgrades.
    • Understands shared storage (SAN/NAS/HCI environments).
    • Demonstrates the ability to utilize software and hardware diagnostic tools to identify, diagnose and repair complex problems and factors affecting systems performance.
    • Must be able to maintain flexibility to perform several engineering tasks at one time unsupervised.
    • Familiarity and/or experience with Palo Alto Firewalls, Juniper Switches, Microsoft Dynamics NAV, Carbon Black, Office 365 and NIST 800-171 are a plus.
    • Experience with government contracting is a plus.

    Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

    Security certifications (Security+ up to CISSP) are preferred.
