    Career Opportunity

    We are currently seeking candidates for an Administrative Assistant at our Chesapeake, Virginia office. The Administrative Assistant provides high-level administrative support by conducting research, handling information requests, and performing clerical functions such as preparing correspondence, receiving visitors, arranging conference calls, and scheduling meetings.

     

    • Provides general administrative and clerical support including mailing, scanning, faxing and copying to management
    • Answers and directs incoming calls
    • Maintains electronic and hard copy filing system
    • Distributes incoming correspondence
    • Assists in resolving any administrative problems
    • On occasion, runs company’s errands to post office and office supply store
    • Prepares and modifies documents including correspondence, reports, drafts, memos and e-mails
    • Schedules and coordinate meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements for Managers and staff
    • Maintains office supplies inventory for the office as well as our common and kitchen area
    • Provides onboarding assistance when necessary
    • Maintains inventory of online store supplies and merchandise
    • Assists in planning special events
    • Assists with the Purchasing team and processing requisitions
    • Manages specific company website content

     

    This position does not include travel.

     

    Education and Experience

    • High school diploma or GED
    • A minimum of two years of related experience

    Qualifications

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
    • Knowledge of operating standard office equipment
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Must have the ability to prioritize projects
    • Demonstrates strong problem-solving skills
    • Possesses research skills and demonstrates attention to detail
    • Must be organized, maintain flexibility with changing priorities
    • Apply effective time management practices
    • Must be process oriented with the ability to make and carryout recommendations
