    Career Opportunity

    We are currently seeking candidates for a Senior Financial Manager position, located in our Port Hueneme, CA office.

     

    Responsibilities

    • Plan, direct, or coordinate accounting, investing, banking, insurance, securities, and other financial activities of a branch, office, or department of Port Hueneme’s Naval Warfare Center for all associated Financial Management business processes of the Command.
    • Reconciliation development using established execution strategy, to continue to refine, update, and build reconciliation inventory.
    • Assist in building a repeatable and sustainable reconciliation: Workbooks, workflow for variances, and management reports.
    • Responsible for storing inventory of reconciliations, variance analysis data, aging of open balances, and uploading and storing evidence of corrective action/s taken to clear variances.
    • Assist in the development and implementation of training to government employees to sustain the reconciliation process, to include steps required to perform the reconciliations, identify variances, and how to attach supporting documentation into the tool.
    • Develop and support implementing a change management strategy and plan. Manage all associated junior staff and deliverables.
    • Be able to perform all functional duties independently.
    • May oversee the efforts of less senior staff and/or be responsible for the efforts of all staff assigned to a specific job.

    Education and Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related discipline and ten (10) years’ experience OR Master’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related discipline and eight (8) years’ experience is required.
    • Knowledge and experience with data analysis, statistical analysis, financial analysis.
    • Five (5) years’ experience working within the Federal Budget Process, PPBE.
    • Knowledge of DoD tools, reconciliation processes, and audit standards.
    • Experience with the Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (N-ERP), NSWC PHD Portal, Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS), South West Regional Maintenance Center (SWRMC), Mid Atlantic Maintenance Center (MARMC), and the Defense Travel System (DTS) a plus.

    Qualifications

    • Must possess a valid Driver’s License
    • Must have reliable transportation to and from various work locations
    • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
