Career Opportunity

We are looking for candidates to fill a Program Analyst position at our Wallops Island, Virginia station. The Surface Combat Systems Center (SCSC) at Wallops Island requires support in management, engineering, operations, and technical expertise for the activation, operation, maintenance, and engineering of equipment, systems, and computer programs. This support is crucial for all Naval Sea Systems Command and Program Executive Office, Integrated Warfare Systems missions and projects conducted at SCSC. SCSC offers live and simulated integrated warfare capabilities in a net-centric maritime environment, aimed at developing, testing, evaluating, and conducting fleet operations and training for the warfighter.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Will assist the program manager by facilitating processes related to contract deliverables, quality control, risk/issue management, workforce training, technical writing, process improvement, data management and meeting/event management.

 

Travel

  • This position includes a low level of travel, including monthly Program Office visits. The Program Office is located at Wallops Island, VA.

 

Education, Knowledge, Experience, Skills and Abilities Required

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required. 
  • At least five years of professional experience. 
  • Previous experience creating briefs with MS PowerPoint. 
  • Previous experience preparing and editing documents in MS Word, to include use of advanced editing and formatting features. 
  • Ability to manipulate data in MS Excel to include use of formulas, pivot tables, and charts. 
  • Ability to use descriptive statistics to develop performance indicators. 
  • Must have strong written communication skills. 
  • Must have strong analytical skills.
  • Previous experience creating and managing SharePoint lists, document libraries, and WebParts is desired. 
  • Previous experience facilitating quality control, risk management, and/or process improvement is desired. 
  • Previous experience maintaining schedules in MS Project is desired. 
  • Previous experience creating fillable PDF forms is desired.

  • None

 

Qualifications

  • Active DoD Secret security clearance is highly desired, however candidates who are eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance will be considered. If the selected candidate does not hold an active clearance, he/she will receive a contingent offer. A start date will be established once an interim Secret clearance is granted.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Must have the ability to work remotely with reliable phone and internet connection in compliance with hybrid work schedule.
  • Must maintain the capability to communicate with their supervisor and/or manager when not in the office.

 

Physical Requirements

  • Sitting for long periods of time, standing, walking, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Reaching, handling, using equipment, keyboards, and mobile devices.
  • Ability to lift items weighing up to 20 lbs.
